Time just goes too fast..good bye 2006

Goodbye 2006,

All and all this was a top year. I traveled and developed many human skills. I've learned from people and from experiences. I have been exposed to concepts and realities that a haven't had a chance to before... and this is great!!. Explore, discover, experience. So... big smiles like this one from this happy fisher woman in Mumbai...

This is the last year of my life that I won't have some one depending on me as Kimberley and I are giving birth to our first child in march 2007. Big changes, or not, will be another great experience and I am sure I will enjoy every minute of it.

As to next year plans I really hope to get involved again with a challenging project such as: further studies or research or a great photographic assignment. Maybe all together. Ah..., I might as well get a job. :-)...I mean a different job.

As to June 2007 Kimberley and I are working as volunteers with refugees from Rwanda and Congo. The experiences have been so far interesting and somehow challenging. I hope to concentrate more on that and help to establishing them more in Australia. I will post some photo soon so you can all meet the family. Maybe I do it now. As soon as we buy a car our involvement will improve. Darwin is not a place to be without a car. :-/

Ok, last.... a big thanks to Santa for buying me a nice old school radio!

Not that easy to set up a blog!

Hi there and Welcome,

I have been trying to set this blog up since last night and has not been that easy. Any way, just trying now to see what is going to happen. I am using my own server...maybe that is why. But after all, i decided to use the blogger server as it is ease to update all the stuff and layout.

I have posted some links and images, so I hope you enjoy it. One of the links is to the CARF project. The project works with street kids in Brazil and i think it works very well. So have a look.

I have also added my favorite magazine there, the Adbusters. They are a Canadian publication targeting corporations and promoting media activism.

The other one, of course, is from our School Days project. The project is finally out of planing stages and we are working on our first publication and seminars series. Lets wait and see what is going to happen. Please visit our site.

Any way, keep looking to find out interesting stuff.

Darwin is good and Kimbo and I are very happy. Darwin is not that hot anymore and we are looking to move out some time to a beach somewhere. Just plans now, but as my Government job does not seem that close, as they are VERY bureaucratic and unfair, we have to think of other options.

Hope all are well and happy. This photo was taken in north India wanting for a bus. It is part of the School Days series.
